The digital transformation in the healthcare industry has affected everyone involved: Whether hospital operators, health insurance companies, health centers, laboratories or physicians in private practice – they all depend on exchanging patient data with each other and at the same time meeting the highest data protection requirements. Cloud solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS) from cloudshift® support you in this: Build a digitally networked patient documentation system quickly and flexibly in a scalable manner and minimize administrative efforts. This gives you more freedom to take care of patients.
Anyone working in the healthcare industry needs to exchange patient records with colleagues – a formerly analog process that can, however, be organized far more efficiently digitally. Setting up their own infrastructure, however, means a high level of organizational effort, especially for smaller practices and businesses, which entails high initial investments, costs time and is often difficult to assess technically and legally. Managed cloud solutions from cloudshift® offer companies in the healthcare industry a practical alternative: use software that has proven itself in the industry – and adapt it as required to meet actual needs. Of course, not only to exchange patient data, but also for billing processes or practice organization and accounting. At the same time, you gain the security of meeting all data protection requirements.

For the dialysis center with two locations, we have outsourced the entire IT infrastructure to our cloud. All medical software applications as well as the standard Microsoft® Office are provided to the employees exclusively via virtual desktops. As a result of this step, PCs no longer need to be maintained at the workstations in the two centers. These have been completely replaced by so-called maintenance-free thin clients. The requirements for data security, backups and data protection could even be achieved more quickly and easily in our cloud than would have been the case within a local environment. Since access to important patient data must be guaranteed at all times, failsafe clusters and multiple redundant connections to our cloud are used. Of course, the highly sensitive data is encrypted, secure and GDPR-compliant and stored exclusively in data centers in Germany.
